How To Get A Deeper Voice – Mr. Bass Man – The Guide: Part 1

Most might not remember this one, but back in 1963 a song entitled, “Mr. Bass Man,” hit the American song charts and stayed there for quite some time.  The song was written and recorded by a 17-year-old named Johnny Cymbal and featured a song duet between a bass singer and a tenor who wanted so much to learn how to sing in those deep, melodious tones of a bass man.  It’s a great song.  One of my favorites at the time, and I still listen to it to this day, downloaded from YouTube to both my MP3 player and computer’s media player.

I knew then, even at the tender age of eleven, that I wanted to be a bass man too.  Lyrics like, “Mr. Bass man, you’ve got that certain something,” and “Hey, Mr. Bass Man, you’re the hidden King of Rock and Roll,” had me convinced there was something magical about having a low, resonant, sultry voice like a bass man.

I now realize that not only does a deep, resonant singing voice make you the king of rock and roll, but a deep resonant speaking voice opens doors and opportunities that are just not available to those who have the misfortune of speaking with a high-pitched, squeaky, power-less voice.

Well, guess what?  If you’ve been subject to one of those squeaky, high-pitched voices, that’s all about to change for you.  Believe it or not, one’s speaking voice, while crucially important in determining how people accept and treat you in life, is one of the easiest things to alter for the better!  With a few simple steps, and in a relatively short period of time, one can almost completely change their demeanor by altering their vocal presence.  You can go from sounding like a meek mouse to projecting like a roaring tiger (although increased volume is only one of the secrets) with as little as 2 weeks of training.  Some have seen a total transformation in as few as 5 days.  Most will notice marked improvement after just one day!

What are the secrets?  There are a few, but all are easy to approach, painless and truly beneficial to not only your voice quality but your total physical well being also.  These secrets include:

1)       Learning proper breathing techniques

2)       Incorporating proper pitch variation

3)       Knowing about volume control

4)       Changing one’s voice quality

5)       Removing stress from the areas responsible for vocalization, and,

6)       Performing certain exercises geared towards strengthening and improving the vocal equipment you already possess.

No longer do you need to suffer the humiliations that seem to be so unfairly doled out to those with petite vocal stature.  A solution is not only available, but easy and painless as well.  After all… at least for once, wouldn’t everyone love to be the king of rock and roll?
